This is the story of a retired business executive and business owner. The story relates some of his business experiences and some of his experiences while touring on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Most of what is written did actually happen with the exception of the Kevin character and his son. A few of my Harley riding friends said this story brought a tear to their eye. Some of the events are humorous and some of the events had a profound and lasting influence on the author.
Lieutenant John MacRae is fresh out of West Point and he is eager to begin his military career. While at West Point Lieutenant John MacRae hears the tale of Sergeant who is a veteran of the Little Big Horn massacre and the saying "Save the last bullet for yourself". The events that happen on his first patrol will come back years later to put him on an unexpected path in Deadwood, South Dakota. The Lieutenant desperately tries to save a condemned man who saved his life many years ago. He meets people from his past along with an unlikely partner. The ending may be a surprise to the reader.
